Company roles control what a teammate can do in the workspace. They are separate from professional experience on a personal profile.

Role overview

  • Owner: full control, including ownership transfer and company deletion.
  • Admin: can maintain the hub, manage listings, invite members, and manage member roles.
  • Member: can appear with the team and use features assigned to members, but cannot manage the company by default.

Invite a teammate

  1. Open the company’s Role Management area.
  2. Search for the person’s dApp.ing profile and send the invitation.
  3. Choose the least-privileged suitable role.
  4. The recipient accepts or declines before membership becomes active.

Transfer ownership

Only the owner can transfer ownership, and the new owner must already be an admin. After the transfer, the previous owner becomes an admin. Admins cannot remove or demote other admins through controls reserved for the owner. The owner must resolve the role structure first. Review roles when someone leaves the team, and remove access they no longer need. Review access after a teammate changes responsibilities or leaves. Keep one accountable owner, limit admin access to people who operate the hub, and use member permissions for narrower work. Ownership transfer changes who has final control, so confirm the recipient and finish any required fresh authentication before proceeding.
