The guarantees
- Verification cannot be bought. The badge is earned with proof of identity and costs nothing. No payment accelerates it or substitutes for it, and it cannot outlive its proof: if a later edit invalidates the evidence, the badge is revoked. The gold Pro form of the badge marks a company that holds a plan, and certifies nothing extra. See plans and billing.
- Karma cannot be bought. Not the score, not the tier, not any pillar of it. A company’s plan has no input into any person’s Karma.
- Organic rank cannot be bought. Where you and your listings place on merit, in search, in directories, in dApp Radar, and in any Tracker, is computed from the evidence.
- Promotion is always visible as promotion. Featured placement is labeled, capped so featured entries never take more than a minority of any page, and expires with the campaign it promotes. Advertising is sold per campaign, labeled as sponsored, carries the advertiser’s name, and sits beside results rather than inside them. Neither moves a company, a project, or a person in the organic results.
- Board standing cannot be moved in secret. A community board’s operator chooses what the board measures, and every board publishes those rules to its members. An operator can grant or remove bonus XP, and that is the only lever over an individual: it requires a written reason, it appears in that member’s own breakdown with the reason attached, and the member is notified. All time, it only claws back XP that company granted. A board’s owners and admins are marked Team, are ranked like anyone else, and cannot attest their own team into the standings.
- Reviews cannot be removed by the company they concern. You can respond publicly, one live response per review, marked as the official response. You cannot edit, hide, or delete what someone else experienced.
- Attestations are yours alone to issue, and revocations are visible. Nobody can buy an attestation from your company, and a revocation is recorded rather than silently rewritten.

These constraints are what make the signals you benefit from readable. Your verified badge means something because no competitor could buy one.
