# Understand verification badges and Karma

> Understand what profile badges, experience proof, endorsements, and Karma mean.

dApp.ing uses several trust signals because no single badge or score can tell the whole story. Open the profile, company, or project behind a signal to see what supports it.

## Profile verification

A verified profile badge means the account has met dApp.ing's broader verification requirements. A complete profile helps, but it is only one part of that review.

## Experience and company proof

Experience proof applies to a specific role claim. Company verification indicates that dApp.ing reviewed evidence connecting a hub to an official organization. Neither means every statement, product, employee, or opportunity is endorsed.

## Karma

Karma reflects a mix of profile proof, useful participation, trusted relationships, and recent activity. It is one way to understand an account's history, not a verdict on the person behind it.

## Recommendations and endorsements

Recommendations are written references. Endorsements attach peer context to skills. They support the broader proof page but do not replace verified experience or inspectable work.

## Read the evidence

* Open the profile or company behind a badge.
* Check dates, proof labels, projects, official links, and who supplied the evidence.
* For an opportunity or contract, confirm the current terms with the organization.
