# Protect your account and wallet from fake support and impersonation

> Recognize fake support, protect wallet authority, and report an impersonator without exposing more information.

dApp.ing support will never ask for a seed phrase, private key, password, verification code, wallet export, unexpected signature, token approval, transfer, or payment to “secure” your account.

## Before you trust a support message

* Open dApp.ing directly instead of using a link from an unsolicited message.
* Inspect the sender’s complete profile, company context, handle, and official links. A name, logo, badge, or Karma score alone is not enough.
* Read every wallet prompt. Reject a signature, transaction, network change, or token approval you did not start and understand.
* Never install remote-access software or move assets to a “safe” wallet at a stranger’s request.

## If you think you interacted with an impersonator

1. Stop responding and reject unfinished wallet or provider prompts.
2. Block the account and report the affected profile, company, message, or listing.
3. Preserve safe evidence such as dApp.ing URLs, transaction hashes, public addresses, and redacted screenshots.
4. For a compromised login provider or wallet, use that provider’s official recovery guidance. dApp.ing cannot recover keys, reverse transactions, or revoke blockchain approvals for you.

Do not post secrets, identity documents, session data, or verification codes in a report. If funds or wallet authority may be at risk, prioritize the wallet or provider’s official response process.
